Privacy Policy

Iman AI ("the app", "we", "us") is a mobile companion for prayer, Quran, and Islamic questions. This policy explains exactly what data the app touches, where it goes, and what control you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed — it is short because the honest answer is short: almost everything stays on your phone.

The app requires no account and assigns you no identifier. Everything below is stored only in the app's local storage on your phone and is never transmitted to us:

Three kinds of network requests happen, and only these:

• Chat questions — when you ask Iman AI a question, the text of your question is sent to our server to generate an answer (see section 5).
• Recitation audio — verse recitations are streamed from a public Quran audio network (islamic.network CDN). Like any download, the CDN technically sees your IP address; we send it nothing else.
• Purchases — subscription transactions are handled entirely by Apple (see section 6).

That is the complete list. The app makes no other network calls about you.

With your permission, the app reads your location on the device to calculate prayer times, the Qibla direction, and Hijri calendar dates. The calculation runs locally using astronomical formulas — your coordinates are never uploaded, shared, or stored anywhere except your own phone.

Location permission is optional. Decline it and the app still works; you can set things up later or not at all.

When you ask a question in Chat, the text you type is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to compose an answer grounded in the Quran and authentic hadith. Your question travels with no name, no account, no location, and no advertising identifier — only the words you typed.

• We do not build profiles from questions or link them to any identity.
• Questions are processed to generate your answer, not to advertise to you.
• Anthropic processes API requests under its own commercial data policies; API inputs are not used to train its models by default.

Iman Pro subscriptions and free trials are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID details. We receive only an anonymous confirmation that a subscription is active, so the app can unlock.

Manage or cancel anytime in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Prayer reminders, the daily Ayah, and the trial-ending reminder are scheduled locally on your device. There is no push-notification server; nothing about your reminder times or habits is transmitted. Notification permission is optional and reversible in system settings.

• No advertising, and no advertising SDKs.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data — with anyone, for any price.
• No fingerprinting, no cross-app tracking, no contact-list or photo-library scanning.
• No reading of any data beyond what the features above require.

If this list ever changes, this policy will change first, visibly, with a new effective date.

Because your data lives on your device, deletion is in your hands and is immediate:

• Delete the app → all locally stored data (name, mood, streaks, saved verses, settings, location) is permanently erased.
• Chat questions are processed transiently to produce an answer; we do not maintain a server-side archive of your conversations tied to you.
• Subscription records are held by Apple under Apple's own policies.

Iman AI is made for a general audience and collects no personal information, which is the strongest protection we can offer younger users. The app contains no ads, no social features, no chat with strangers, and no external links beyond these legal pages and system stores.

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data. Because we hold no account or profile about you, most of these rights are fulfilled by the app's design itself — your data is already in your hands, on your device. For anything else, contact us and we will help within 30 days.

If we change what data the app touches, we will update this page before the change ships and revise the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's update notes.
