Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Iman AI ("we", "us") governing your use of the Iman AI mobile application. By downloading or using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Your license to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Iman AI on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. The app is for your personal, non-commercial use.
Subscriptions & free trial
Some features require a Iman Pro subscription. The free tier includes the Home overview (daily ayah, prayer countdown, and streak). Iman Pro unlocks everything else.
Yearly
Starts with 7 days free. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the yearly price is charged to your Apple ID. We send a reminder notification on day 5 — two days before any charge.
Weekly
No trial. Billed weekly until cancelled.
The fine print, plainly
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Trial. One free trial per Apple ID. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. Any unused trial time is forfeited when a purchase completes.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple; refund requests are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple's policies.
- Restoring. Reinstalled or new device? Use "Restore purchase" on the paywall or in Profile.
- Price changes. If prices change, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before charging the new price.
Religious content & AI answers
We take this seriously, so let us be precise about what Iman AI is and is not:
- AI answers are a study aid, not a fatwa. Chat answers are generated by an AI grounded in verified sources, and every answer cites where it comes from — but AI can make mistakes. For rulings that affect your worship, family, or finances, consult a qualified scholar.
- Prayer times and Qibla are calculations. They use established astronomical methods and your chosen calculation school, but local conditions and mosque announcements take precedence. Verify with your local masjid, especially for fasting times.
- Scripture is presented, never generated. Quran text and translations come from verified published sources (section 5) and are not written or altered by AI.
- Differences of opinion are real. Where scholars differ, the app aims to present positions with attribution rather than pick winners.
Our sources
- Quran (Arabic): Uthmani script, Tanzil project text.
- Quran (English): Sahih International translation.
- Quran (French): Muhammad Hamidullah translation.
- Hadith: canonical collections (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and others), as referenced per answer.
- Prayer times: the adhan astronomical calculation library with recognized calculation methods (Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, and others you can select).
- Recitations: streamed from the islamic.network public audio archive.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for unlawful purposes or to generate content that is hateful, harassing, or deceptive;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the app or its services;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or its AI responses;
- circumvent subscription controls or use another person's entitlements;
- misrepresent AI answers as the verdicts of specific scholars or institutions.
Intellectual property
The app's design, code, name, and original content are our property and are protected by applicable laws. The Quran is the speech of Allah and belongs to no one; the specific typeset text and translations we bundle remain subject to their publishers' terms (Tanzil's open license, and the respective translation rights). Verse images you create with the Share feature are yours to share freely — spreading a verse is the point.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI answers will be complete or correct in every case (see section 4).
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time; deleting it removes all local data. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (4, 7, 8, 9, 12) survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted in the app's update notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction — except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence grants you additional rights, which remain unaffected.
